It was a glorious weekend for the 2017 Auckland District Target Championships on the 28th and 29th January. Auckland Archery Club were the hosts of this tournament, and they did a fine job running. Thank you to Mt Green Archery Club for another awesome weekend of shooting. It was a beautiful day on Saturday, followed by another cracker on Sunday. However the clouds started to roll over and we heard thunder. We were lucky we shot so quickly – and we finished just in time to see the thunderstorm
It was a blazing hot day at Mountain Green and without a breath of wind. Steve Clifton shot a 1399 and Fiona Guest got her 1350 star with a score of 1360. I heard there were more personal bests broken throughout the day so congratulations everyone and we can’t wait for tomorrow! ADAA – Target
