On 19 October Mountain Green Archery Club hosted the District Doubles Trophy Challenge. This was a fun tournament where archers chose their pairing (friends, parent/child, couples, siblings). To level the playing field, only wooden bows (no sights) were allowed. Some archers chose to bring their own, while others borrowed club equipment. The day was clear

Huge thanks to Franklin Archery Club for hosting our annual district field archery championships this year. The weather held out and was lovely, and the shooting excellent! Results are in for our favourite fun shoot – the King in his castle, protected by the dragon. The King is worth 100 points and the dragon 50, it made for some epic scores out of a 36 arrow round! Special congratulations to Zak Weston from Auckland Archery Club with the highest score of 1750,

The Youth shoot for April and May was the Egg Hunter – a field-style bunny with an added bonus easter egg worth 10 points! Our archers had a great time shooting this one although there were some complaints that the bunny was too small – if only bunnies grew larger? Ha ha good one kids!
